Family Lawyer (8+ year call), book not required

Join gpac as a Family Lawyer with at least 8+ years of experience in British Columbia family law practice. A book of business is preferred but not required.

• Independently manage family law files, optionally handling additional areas of law within the firm.
• Handle a wide range of family law matters, including separation agreements, spousal maintenance, and asset division.
• Conduct hearings, discovery, mediations, and trials.
• Instruct support staff and receive directions from clients.
• Draft pleadings and prepare chamber applications.
• Negotiate at mediations and appear at trials.
• Manage all aspects of a file from beginning to end.
• Experience in general civil litigation is an asset.

• Minimum of 8+ years of current experience in British Columbia family law practice.
• Ability to handle challenging work and manage files independently.
• Strong judgment, work ethic, and interpersonal skills.
• Desire to become part of the community served.
• Enthusiasm for growing practice and working toward partnership.
• Book of business preferred, but not required.

• Base salary depending on years of call and book of business; negotiable with partnership options available.
