Insurance Litigation Associate – Vancouver| 2 years+

Our client,, a Québec law firm with offices in Vancouver, is seeking a lawyer with approximately two years of experience in litigation. You will have the opportunity to work with seasoned partners and lawyers in a collegial atmosphere, to benefit from the assistance of support staff and to develop your career.

YOUR ROLE:

As an associate, you will work on matters of insurance defense and coverage, engaging in all aspects of litigation. Your role will include among others to:

• Conduct research and provide legal analysis;

• Advise clients;

• Draft pleadings, motion materials, factums, pre-trial memorandums, mediation briefs, etc.;

• Engage in trials and appels;

• Attend mediations;

• Perform certain tasks related to business needs and business developments.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

• A member in good standing with the Law Society of British Columbia;

• 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in commercial litigation and insurance law;

• Exceptional communication skills with a forte in writing;

• Autonomy, rigor and strong advocacy skills.
