Ebenezer Baptist Church is prayerfully seeking a part time Youth and Family Ministries Coordinator who will work closely with the Christian Nurture Leadership and Pastor in pursuit of the church’s mission of "winning and building passionate, life-long followers of Jesus Christ."
You will have a primary focus on planning and implementing ministries for youth, young adults including leading Youth Alpha and may also include supporting children’s ministry depending on your experience and interest. Job description may be flexible to include other ministry opportunities depending on your availability and previous experience.
Hours and Remuneration:
This is a paid contract position for 8
-15 hours per week, depending on availability, beginning in January, 2026. Remuneration is negotiable according to your qualifications and experience.
- Planning, leading and participating in the implementation of youth, and family ministry programs, in collaboration with church leaders and volunteers in order to nurture spiritual growth amongyouth and families.
- Supporting families in their role in of discipling their children and youth by teaching and mentoring them in a life of following Christ.
- Recruit, train and support volunteer leaders for our growing family ministries, eg. youth event, youth Alpha and other ministries.
- Plan and co‑lead education sessions on our child, youth and family safety plan and ensure safety practices are followed.
- Participating in Sunday morning services depending on previous experiences and availability.
- Networks with other churches youth ministry leaders.
- Participates in developing budgets and monitoring expenses.
- Other duties and administrative tasks or ministry roles as assigned or mutually agreed upon and attending meetings as required.
- A deep, growing personal faith and testimony in Jesus Christ.
- Agreement with the North American Baptist Statement of Faith.
- Committed to living and serving in a manner consistent with the standards set forth in Scripture for leadership (cf. 1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9).
- Ongoing or recently completed Christian Education or Theological studies.
- Some experience in leading and implementing youth, children and family ministries and a passion to see youth come to a committed relationship with Jesus.
- Capacity to work as a teachable team player and relates well with other staff, volunteers and parents.
- Ability to multitask and have good organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and technical skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours.
Employment is conditional upon completing a criminal record check and child safety screening.
