We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our Burn and Complex Wound Program s role offers an opportunity to provide comprehensive burn and wound care, including acute management, OR and procedural skills, post-burn recovery, and complex wound care across BC. Responsibilities include assisting in the OR, performing procedural interventions, managing acute burn care, rehabilitation, and follow-up. The role involves working within an integrated team, educating patients and staff, contributing to research, and advancing burn care practices nationally.

As a Nurse Practitioner with VCH, you will:
- Be responsible for comprehensive patient assessments, diagnosing diseases, and initiating treatment including prescribing medications.
- Provide guidance to health professionals and participate in interdisciplinary teams.
- Collaborate with clients and other health professionals to develop strategies for health improvement and participate in policy and quality initiatives.
- Maintain professional development and privileges as required, reporting to an Operational Director.

Education & Experience
- Current registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Experience as a Nurse Practitioner is an asset but not mandatory.
Knowledge & Abilities
- Ability to perform full scope of NP duties, apply knowledge of clinical sciences, pharmacology, and evidence-based practice.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, ability to assess health research, and implement population health strategies.
- Leadership skills and physical ability to perform duties.
