Join a dedicated team providing compassionate, top-notch care to residents in our long-term care homes as a Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse. As an RN/RPN in LTC, you will develop individualized care plans, supervise care staff, and collaborate with physicians and families to ensure the highest quality of life for residents. Education:

• Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives

Your Day to Day:

• Provides safe and respectful nursing care to assigned patients/residents in accordance with policies, individualized care plans, and care priorities.
• Performs comprehensive assessments, monitors for abnormal signs or lab results, and collaborates with RN/RPN and interdisciplinary team for complex cases.
• Communicates and implements physician orders, including transcribing and processing them accurately.
• Documents all care activities such as assessments, treatments, medication administration, and discharge planning in manual or electronic records.
• Prepares and assists with surgical/diagnostic procedures, transfers, and admissions, ensuring coordination with physicians and care team members.
• Administers medications (excluding IV), monitors effects, and maintains communication with RN/RPN and team as needed.
• Participates in education, incident response, orientation, and care planning while promoting patient/family involvement and supporting discharge planning
