Job SummaryWe have an exciting opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our Vascular Surgery Team at Royal Columbian Hospital (RCH) in New Westminster, B.C. RCH’s Vascular Surgery is a vibrant and collaborative team dedicated to providing both episodic and longitudinal care for a complex patient population. Vascular patients often have intricate medical and surgical needs, requiring both high-acuity care and ongoing treatment. The team emphasizes patient education and the optimization of therapies, integrating both medical and procedural interventions. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will collaborate with a comprehensive care team that includes Vascular Specialists, the Perioperative Internal Medicine team, Registered Nurses, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Dietitians, Pharmacists, Social Workers, and Unit Clerks.
Together, this multidisciplinary team strives to provide exceptional and holistic care.

The Nurse Practitioner is responsible and accountable for the comprehensive assessment of patients/clients/residents including diagnosing diseases, disorders, and conditions. The Nurse Practitioner initiates treatment including health care management, therapeutic interventions and prescribes medications in accordance with the statutory and regulatory standards, limits, and conditions, and employer policies and procedures. The Nurse Practitioner provides professional guidance to other health professionals and practices autonomously and interdependently within the context of an interdisciplinary health care team, making referrals to specialist physicians and others as appropriate.
