Agoda, an online travel booking platform, seeks a Lead Software Engineer (Front End) to drive the evolution of front‑end systems for millions of travelers worldwide.

• Lead the design, architecture, and development of highly distributed, large‑scale front‑end applications.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to design, implement, and improve scalable applications and services.
• Serve as a front‑end expert on large‑scale projects, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
• Hands‑on development of proof of concepts and evaluation of new technologies.
• Implement technical and strategic decisions across cross‑functional teams.
• Build a culture that optimizes applications using best practices for performance.
• Maintain coding standards and stay up‑to‑date with industry and technology developments.
• Participate in strategic discussions related to Agoda's future technology directions and development practices.
• Contribute to the professional development of the team.

• 12+ years of software development experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a Tech Lead role.
• Proven experience designing, building, and operating high‑performance, scalable front‑end systems.
• Extensive experience with client‑side technologies and modern frameworks (JavaScript, Type Script, React).
• Experience mentoring and growing senior and staff engineers.
• Strong understanding of business impact and ability to steer the team based on priorities.
• Constantly read and learn, moving Agoda forward technically.
• Knowledge of physical architecture at scale, building resilience and highly available solutions (nice to have).
• Strong experience in client‑side performance optimization (nice to have).
• Proficiency in modern coding and design practices (Clean Code, SOLID, TDD).
