We're hiring a QA Engineer to take full ownership of testing across our CLI tools, frontends, developer interfaces, and product surfaces. Engineers at Layer Zero write their own tests, but this role exists to build dedicated QA coverage where it's missing, improve test reliability, and reduce risk in production. You’ll work across the stack to implement efficient, high-signal manual and automated testing processes that integrate cleanly into our development flow.

• Build and maintain test coverage for CLI, frontend apps, and devtools
• Write and maintain test automation using frameworks like Playwright, Cypress, or similar
• Create and document reproducible test cases for product workflows and edge cases
• Identify gaps in existing test coverage and implement targeted solutions
• Collaborate with engineers to improve code testability and CI integration
• Investigate and verify bugs prior to release; ensure test coverage for all fixes
• Monitor test outcomes and reliability across environments
• You have excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years experience in QA, test engineering, or software testing roles
• Experience testing web frontends (React/Next.js), APIs, and CLI-based applications
• Comfortable working in Type Script codebases and debugging frontend/backend interactions
• Familiar with automated test frameworks and integrating them into CI pipelines
• Detail-oriented and structured, you able to turn requirements into comprehensive test coverage
• Previous experience with blockchain technologies, smart contracts, and decentralized finance is a strong plus.
