Job Description
CD PROJEKT RED is looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to join a team of researchers working on character animation generation. The team is based in Vancouver, BC and is developing technologies that will push the boundaries of character motion and crowd simulation.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement machine learning models and algorithms.

Work with large datasets to train, test, and validate models.

Optimize and deploy machine learning models to Unreal Engine.

Collaborate with research, engineering, and game development teams to define requirements and troubleshoot issues.

Conduct research and stay current with advancements in machine learning.

Evaluate and improve the performance of existing ML systems.

Participate in code reviews and maintain high code quality standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.

Deep understanding of machine learning algorithms and data structures.

Experience with machine learning frameworks such as Tensor Flow, PyTorch, or JAX.

Familiarity with IREE is a plus.

Proficiency in Python.

Experience with C++ is a plus.

Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) is a plus.

Extensive problem‑solving skills and ability to contribute both independently and collaboratively.

Comfortable taking initiative and managing timelines.

Ability to clearly communicate ideas and work effectively across teams.

Attention to detail and a sense for visual quality.

Estimated Pay Range
$84,200 - $127,200 CAD annually

At CD PROJEKT RED, compensation for our roles in North America is determined based on competitive market data, geographic location, and individual factors tied to business needs. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Final offers are dependent on job‑related factors like experience, qualifications, and location.
