Fullstack Engineer

6-month contract Fullstack Engineer role with an enterprise organization investing majorly into technology.

As a result of new projects our client is looking to add a contract back-end engineer to their growing team. You will be expanding functionality globally for a partner e-commerce website. In this role, you’ll build the front-end experiences and supporting services that drive their platform. You’ll lead front-end development using React and Next.js, create scalable BFF layers in Node.js, and contribute to backend APIs in Java to support complex product configurations, partner-specific workflows, and high-volume ordering needs.

You’ll own the UI end-to-end, designing responsive components, optimizing for performance, and ensuring the platform feels intuitive and reliable for business customers. You’ll integrate Graph

QL and REST services, strengthen code quality with robust testing practices, and contribute to architectural decisions that support long-term scalability.

They are located close to rapid transit in newly renovated offices in downtown Vancouver and have a hybrid work environment, 3 days a week in office.

• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• Deep expertise across:
  • Type Script
  • React & Next.js
  • Node.js (BFF development)
  • Graph
    
    QL & REST API integrations
  • SCSS & Tailwind
  • Jest & React Testing Library
• Strong backend development experience with Java (Spring Boot).
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum teams.
• Strong understanding of modular architectures, API design, and front-end performance optimization.

This role pays between $75-90 per hour.
