Engineer Cash Out payment flows at Earn In with Kotlin, Java, Go, Python, or Type Script in a hybrid Vancouver, BC workplace. Protect transaction reliability.
This senior software engineering position focuses on backend services that move Earn In members’ money through debit cards, ACH, Fed Now, and RTP. You will design idempotent flows, handle failures and returns, reconcile outcomes, and build APIs and event-driven integrations. AI-assisted development with Cursor and Claude is expected.
Key Responsibilities:
Own Cash Out feature design, implementation, and operation
Build payment flows with safe failure handling
Deliver REST and gRPC APIs
Create Kafka and SNS/SQS integrations
Improve monitoring, alerting, dashboards, and runbooks
Requirements:
Four or more years of software engineering experience
Most experience building and operating backend services
Proficiency in one modern programming language
Ability to work in more than one language
Hands-on SQL and No
SQL database experience
Use payment systems expertise, dependable backend design, and operational ownership to support Earn In’s Cash Out platform.
