Vancouver Rise FC is an ambitious new professional women’s soccer team competing at the highest level in the Northern Super League. As the inaugural champions of the 2025 NSL season, we are committed to continuing to grow women’s sports, fostering community engagement, and delivering a first-class experience for our players, staff, fans, and partners.
Position OverviewThe Assistant Coach will support the Head Coach in all aspects of team preparation and performance. This role requires exceptional tactical understanding, strong communication skills, and a proven ability to develop elite players. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative, high-performance environment and brings both leadership and creativity to the coaching staff.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Head Coach in planning and delivering daily training sessions.
- Support tactical, technical, and physical development of First Team players.
- Contribute to match preparation, including opponent analysis and game‑plan design.
- Lead individual player development programs and performance reviews.
- Provide on‑field coaching during matches and collaborate on in‑game adjustments.
- Work closely with sports science, medical, and support staff to ensure holistic player care.
- Uphold and model the club’s values of professionalism, competitiveness, and inclusivity.
- Assist with integration of academy players into the first‑team environment.
- Participate in scouting, recruitment discussions, and player evaluation where needed.
- National or international coaching license (Canada Soccer B License or equivalent required; A License preferred).
- Demonstrated experience coaching at the professional, collegiate, or elite youth level.
- Strong tactical knowledge of the modern women’s game.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a diverse team.
- Experience with video analysis tools and data‑driven coaching methodologies.
- Commitment to fostering a positive, growth‑oriented environment for players.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and travel.
- Experience in professional women’s soccer environments.
- Background in player development or performance analysis.
- Passion for advancing the women’s game in Canada.
