, you’ll work on advanced control and monitoring systems for high-power transformers, ensuring reliability and innovation in the power grid. You’ll collaborate with engineering, supply chain, and production teams to create and refine technical documentation, manage supplier data, and support complex projects. You’ll Make an Impact
- Interpret and apply customer specifications for high-power/high-voltage transformers.
- Develop and update purchasing documents and bills of materials for transformer builds.
- Prepare and validate technical content for transformer instruction manuals.
- Provide technical support to electrical, mechanical, and project management teams.
- Act as the primary liaison between Hitachi Energy and control/monitoring system suppliers.
- Support production lines and in-service departments with technical expertise.
- Identify scope changes and provide accurate cost and time estimations.
- Collaborate with supply chain to review vendor documentation and evaluate proposals.
- Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
- Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in Canada.
- Technical or Electrical Engineering degree
- Electrical technical expertise.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Bilingual in French and English.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to new technologies and solve complex problems.
