Accounts Payable Clerk – Full-Time Permanent

Location: GTA
Salary: $55,000–$60,000 (Depending on experience)
Bonus: 6% Annual Bonus Plan
Start Date: As soon as possible

  • Role Overview

    This is an entry-level to junior accounting position. We are not looking for a senior-level candidate or someone with extensive years of experience. The Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for supporting the finance team with full-cycle AP duties, vendor management, reconciliations, and general accounting support.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle accounts payable including invoice entry, expense reports, and payment processing

  • Review, code, and process vendor invoices with proper approvals

  • Monitor AP aging and follow up on outstanding items to maintain strong vendor relationships

  • Perform regular reconciliations of AP ledger accounts

  • Prepare and execute payments (cheques, wires, and electronic transfers)

  • File taxes for various Canadian provinces

  • Work collaboratively with procurement, sales, and operations teams to resolve billing and payment issues

  • Set up new vendors in the company’s business system

  • Provide backup support for Accounts Receivable activities

  • Assist with internal/external audits and support month-end and year-end closing

  • Perform other accounting or administrative duties as required

  • Qualifications

  • Accounting diploma or degree

  • Minimum 1 year of experience (AP-specific experience not required)

  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills

  • Strong organization, communication, and interpersonal abilities

  • High attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and adaptability
