We are seeking an Outreach and Community Engagement Specialist to join the Marketing and Communications team within the Office of Business and Finance. This role involves serving as an extension of the provider practice by raising awareness, educating patients, and encouraging appointment scheduling to promote health.

• Conduct outbound calls, digital outreach (SMS, email), and video communications to inform and educate patients about Meharry Medical Group services and resources.
• Manage inbound calls from potential patients.
• Achieve member enrollment goals based on company KPIs.
• Support patients by answering questions, addressing concerns, and guiding them on how MMG can assist their needs.
• Document interactions and maintain accurate records of outreach activities.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers, community organizations, and stakeholders to ensure patients receive appropriate care.
• Assist families in scheduling appointments and follow-up care.
• Participate in ongoing training to stay updated on healthcare trends and regulations.
• Facilitate scheduling of patient visits with providers.
• Coordinate with the Enrollment Team Lead and practice staff to share updates on patients.
• Organize and represent MMG at community events.

• Associate's degree required.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in customer service or inside sales.
• Healthcare experience is required.
• Empathetic demeanor with a patient-focused approach.
• Ability to adapt in high-volume sales environments and meet deadlines and metrics.
• Strong communication and telephonic skills.
