Our client, a rapidly growing healthcare technology company supporting clinics across Canada and the U.S., is seeking a Systems Administrator to help strengthen and scale their IT operations.

In this role, you’ll take ownership of hybrid infrastructure spanning on‑prem and cloud environments, ensuring performance, reliability, and automation at every level. From virtualization and networking to CI/CD and system monitoring, you’ll play a key role in maintaining a secure, high‑availability environment that supports critical business systems.

• Manage and maintain VMware, Proxmox, and Azure environments to ensure stability and scalability
• Automate provisioning, configuration, and deployments using Ansible and related automation tools
• Oversee server hardware, NAS, and backup solutions, ensuring redundancy and data protection
• Configure and maintain pf Sense, HAProxy, and Cisco networking devices for high availability and secure connectivity
• Implement and maintain firewalls, VLANs, VPNs, and follow best practices for network and system security
• Administer and optimize Linux and Windows servers, performing patching, tuning, and troubleshooting
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design, implement, and improve infrastructure processes and standards
• Deploy and manage Docker and Kubernetes environments, improving microservices performance and scalability
• Monitor systems using Grafana, Prometheus, and Zabbix, setting up alerting and logging for proactive support
• Manage and maintain MySQL, Mongo
  
  DB, and SQLite databases with a focus on reliability, replication, and backup strategies
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Git, integrating automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible

• 4+ years of hands‑on experience in systems administration, Dev Ops, or infrastructure engineering
• Strong understanding of Linux server administration (required), with experience managing Windows environments
• Proven skills in virtualization platforms such as VMware and Proxmox
• Solid networking foundation with experience configuring firewalls, VLANs, load balancers, and VPNs
• Experience working in cloud environments (Azure preferred), including hybrid or multi‑site architectures
• Experience managing databases (MySQL, Mongo

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities with a focus on uptime, efficiency, and scalability
• Excellent documentation, communication, and collaboration skills
• A proactive mindset, always looking for opportunities to improve reliability and automate repetitive tasks

• Proficiency with automation and infrastructure‑as‑code tools such as Ansible and Terraform
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Dev Ops tool chains (Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and Zabbix
