Infrastructure Project Manager - Intermediate

Current individual in the role is not performing to the standard they expect and they are looking to backfill once they find the new candidate

Mission:
The candidate is going to be a strong PM and leader, who must u nderstand the concept of on premise infrastructure and how the variables work within a data centre come together to create the environment.

Day-to-Day:

Minimal supervision who can run with it work independently and ask questions when they arise Raise it early enough to discuss with the team

Able to manage stakeholders and understand the technology and break it down to the business terms They will be working with the C-level – they want to know what’s going on

The team will build the infrastructure and then have the application installed by Meditech or Epic st layer, then nd , rd , etc – ensure that each layer is successful implemented and managed before moving to the next

Not only managing the project, but also the program that are - years with DR, on-prem, etc Some projects will be managed services with a part of a left over contract, be in touch with the customer, if any tickets come in, they are taken care of, and taking track of all of the changes Professional services projects with a start and end date, could be a month, week or
-month project (for example, full hardware refresh end to end to change Powerscale to unity and Isilon)

Must Haves (and how they are used):

- years of experience in PM customer facing (consulting/IT/professional services) projects - projects on the go at any given time – Professional Services & Manages Services Managed Services projects – more operational side of things and ensure that DD are taken care of

Very strong soft skills – attitude and personality How we engage the audience and to get the message across Excellent communication – both written and verbal

IT infrastructure background and IT projects – understand the fundamentals of how they have been put together Not from an app dev perspective as that is a different methodology Dell EMC, Client, Cisco UCS, Palo Alto experience

Strong personality to lead and to deliver projects while interacting with C-level stakeholders) be able to break down the information to business terms

PMP certifications

MS Project is needed - must plan and always have a plan to execute upon –

Strong understanding of Service Now which is a core system for their projects How to approve time for engineers within system, etc

Size and complexity – to million budget projects
