Maintenance Technician – Walgreens Distribution Center Mt. Vernon, Illinois

Join our team at Walgreens and help maintain the critical infrastructure that keeps our Distribution Center running smoothly. As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll perform preventive maintenance and minor mechanical repairs to ensure optimal performance of our material-handling systems and facility equipment.

• Perform preventive maintenance tasks and minor mechanical repairs on DC equipment.
• Use CMMS-generated worksheets to maintain machinery per manufacturer guidelines and best practices.
• Clear jams and remove foreign materials to maintain efficient equipment operation.
• Conduct general building maintenance (e.g., lighting, basic construction, wiring, plumbing, overhead doors).

• High School Diploma/GED and
  :
  • At least 2 years of maintenance experience OR
  • Associate degree in industrial or maintenance technology
• Knowledge of:
  • Industrial electricity (single-phase/three-phase power, motors, sensors)
  • Mechanical systems (bearings, hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors)
• At least 6 months of experience using hand and power tools
• Ability to:
  • Climb up to 100 feet for repairs
  • Lift up to 80 lbs
  • Perform repetitive physical tasks (bending, kneeling, standing, etc.)
