The Role

As Head Chef, you’ll lead and motivate the kitchen team to deliver consistent, high-quality food and excellent service. You’ll take ownership of menu development, food production, stock control, pricing, and compliance, while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and food safety. You’ll guide and support your team day-to-day, help shape seasonal menus, and support club functions and events as required.

About You

We’re seeking someone with strong experience in a busy kitchen—whether an established Head Chef or an ambitious Sous/Senior Chef ready for progression. You’ll bring:

  • A proven track record in hospitality or leisure catering
  • Previous kitchen management experience (Head Chef or similar)
  • Relevant culinary qualifications (e.g., 706 1/2 or equivalent)
  • Confidence with stock control, ordering, menu planning, and food cost management
  • A positive attitude, self-motivation, and strong inter‑personal skills
  • Commitment to quality, provenance, and delivering fresh, seasonal food
What You’ll Do
  • Lead, recruit, motivate, and train the kitchen team
  • Deliver high standards of food production, service, and presentation

    Oversee ordering, goods receipt, stock checks, and food cost targets
  • Ensure full compliance with all Food Safety and Health & Safety regulations
  • Contribute creatively to menu development with fresh, local produce

This is a permanent, full time role, working 40 hours per week. The nature of our business necessitates that the successful applicant will be required to work some evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays.
