Personal Caregiver

Bayshore Health Care is Canada’s leading provider of home and community health care services. We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Personal Caregiver to join our team in North Saanich, Sidney. The role focuses on delivering quality care and support to clients in a safe, comfortable environment.

Work location: North Saanich, Sidney
Pay range: $21.00 to $24.00

• Provide comprehensive homemaking services, including cleaning, cooking, laundry, and household management.
• Offer companionship and accompany clients to community activities and events.
• Administer personal care services according to care plan directives.
• Ensure emotional, spiritual, and physical comfort and safety of clients to the highest standard.
• Assist clients with activities of daily living tailored to their needs.
• Perform specialized procedures following training and competency requirements.
• Observe and document client conditions; report any changes promptly to supervisor or office.
• Implement infection prevention practices.

• Completion of a formal, accredited caregiver training program and/or equivalent education and experience.
• Strong knowledge of caregiving principles and customer service.
• Ability to communicate in spoken and written English;
  French proficiency is an asset.
• Current knowledge of community care practices to deliver high‑quality care services.
• Physical ability to assist clients with movement, repositioning; lift 23 kg, squat, bend, stand, reach.
• Reliable transportation; driver's license and automobile considered an asset.
• Clear Criminal background check with Vulnerable Sector Check.
