Requirements of the Manufacturing Process Engineer

• B.S. Degree in mechanical engineering required.
• 5+Years of industrial experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Works safely and keeps work area clear of potential hazards, knows and understands company EHS policies.
• Knowledge of operating methods and procedures as they relate to their department.
• Demonstrated ability to perform assigned job functions in a manner which will consistently meet supervisor expectations.
• Deals effectively and cooperatively with established policies and procedures.
• Interfaces and cooperates with first line supervision effectively.
• Analytical thinking to introduce new innovations to production processes
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.

Responsibilities of the Manufacturing Process Engineer

• Initiate, develop, and implement manufacturing processes and automated machinery to support new and existing products.
• Plan, implement, and maintain relative manufacturing engineering activities in order to meet plant targets, initiating and implementing action plans for continuous improvement of relevant processes.
• This position is full-time during regular business hours and is on-call when necessary. Some travel may be required for this position.
• Translate production manufacturing process requirements into actionable process designs and automated machinery.
• Design and implement overall factory processes and equipment according to sound lean principles and standards, supporting necessary industrialization activities of associated and affected product specifications.
• Ensure the installation, start-up, validation, production handover, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes, equipment, and automated machinery according to applicable production control plans and standards.
• Maintains records for purposes of monitoring, analyzing, and reporting manufacturing engineering and production process performance, initiating and implementing control measures to improve manufacturing engineering and production process performance.
