Bookkeeper

Wakefield (out of centre with parking)

£28k per annum

Full-time or reduced hours (office-based)

9am – 5pm Monday Thursday, 9am – 3pm Friday (will consider 4 days per week)

As a result of the ongoing success, this independent firm of Chartered Accountants and business advisors is looking to recruit an experienced Bookkeeper/Accountant to work within their Wakefield office (not based in the town centre).

The position is a full-time role but the business could also accommodate 4 days/week. They currently work Monday – Thursday 9am – 5pm with 1 hour for lunch and Friday 9am – 3pm with 30 mins lunch.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Preparation of client bookkeeping using either Sage, Quickbooks and/or Xero

• Purchase ledger and sales ledger for a variety of clients

• Prepare quarterly VAT Returns

• Bank reconciliations

• Be a key point of contact for ad-hoc finance queries

Skills and Qualities

• Knowledge of Sage and/or Xero
• Experienced bookkeeper, either from practice or industry
