Receptionist/Administrator

We are looking for an organised and committed Reception/Administrator to join our friendly team at Drury Lane Health & Wellbeing Centre, Wakefield. Drury Lane is a community hub providing Outpatient Services for Adults & Older People.

The hours for this role will be 3 x 7.5 hours per day (8.30am to 5.00pm). There may also be an occasional requirement to cover at other Trust bases, so a person with a flexible approach and attitude is required.

The right person will possess RSA 2 Word Processing qualification / NVQ Level 2, or an equivalent level qualification. Previous healthcare experience would be preferred but is not essential, however recent admin experience is essential. You must be proficient in the use of Microsoft packages including Outlook and Word and have the ability to learn new IT packages. You will be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills combined with a self‑motivated and flexible approach to work.

At the time of advertising, this role does not meet the minimum requirements set by UK Visas and Immigration to sponsor candidates to work in the UK. For this reason, we are unable to sponsor anyone for a skilled worker visa for this role.

Main duties of the job

Duties for these roles are varied but will include:

  • Meet and greet visitors to Reception, these may include service users, carers, families, other professionals, estates and facilities staff, emergency services, support services
  • Deal with queries via person, telephone or post, signposting where applicable
  • Booking rooms
  • Placing orders using Trust systems, and maintaining stock levels
  • Updating databases
  • Scanning to Trust systems
  • Audit scanning
  • Maintaining general Reception environment, reporting any issues as applicable
  • Liaising with other staff regarding cover
  • Other general admin tasks
