We need a Medical Receptionist to join our friendly team at Rycroft Primary Care Centre.

We are looking for a team player who is enthusiastic, reliable and flexible.

This will be for 25 hours per week (5 hours, 5 days per week), plus sickness and holiday cover, with the flexibility to cover shifts between Monday - Friday 7.30am - 7pm when required.

Main duties of the job

To provide a high standard of Reception service to our patients, including dealing with enquiries promptly, efficiently, and courteously.

About us

We are a friendly GP Training Practice and have approximately 8,620 patients. We also have a small dispensing branch surgery in South Hiendley.

The successful candidate will receive training from our Reception Team Leader and will work within a team of eight receptionists.

Job responsibilities

Tobe responsible for undertaking a wide range of reception duties and the provision of general support to the multidisciplinary team. Duties can include but are not limited to, greeting and directing patients, effective use of the appointment system, booking appointments, processing of information and assisting patients as required. To act as the central point ofcontact for patients, the distribution of information, messages and enquiries for the clinical team, liaising with multidisciplinary team members and external agencies such as secondary care and community service providers.

Qualifications
  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
  • GCSE Mathematics and English Grade C or above
  • AMSPAR Receptionists Qualification
  • NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care
