Applications Engineer

Overview

White Label is representing an engineering business in Wakefield who are looking to recruit an Applications Engineer.

This role will be a blend of design work using Solidworks and being a product expert for customers and colleagues. The role will be varied and will give you the opportunity to be part of the full engineering process.

If you’re the type of person who enjoys design as well as customer interactions, then this could be the role for you. This role would suit a graduate or junior engineer looking for a job that offers variety and opportunity to get stuck in throughout the entire process.

My client is offering a salary of £25,000 - £35,000 along with an excellent benefits package.

• Design and product manufacturing drawings for special components using Solidworks
• Specify, quote and project manage company products
• Provide technical support with applications and product specifications for both customer and colleagues
• Make site visits to measure and assess projects
• Product quotations using SAP
• Pricing up and preparing quotations for the customer
• Making technical selections based on what is best for the customer requirement

• HNC or degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
• Comfortable speaking and dealing with customers as well as being personable
• Solidworks experience
