Finance Director

Position: Finance Director (Permanent)
Our client is a well-established organisation with several UK locations. Continued growth has created an opportunity for a senior finance leader to support the next phase of development. The business provides a stable operating environment, clear strategic direction and a collaborative leadership team.

Reporting directly to the board, the Head of Finance will lead the finance function and take responsibility for delivering robust financial management, insight and governance. The role combines oversight of day-to-day operations with involvement in broader planning, offering both strategic influence and hands-on engagement where required.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the production of accurate monthly accounts and consolidated reporting
Oversee budgeting, forecasting and longer-term financial planning
Provide clear analysis and commentary to support operational and strategic decisions
Maintain strong financial controls and ensure effective core finance processes
Manage cash flow, working capital and balance sheet integrity
Support reviews of performance across projects, departments or business units
Partner with senior leadership on business planning, investment and risk management
Develop the finance team and promote a high-quality, efficient reporting environment

Candidate Profile
Senior finance experience within an SME or multi-entity organisation
Professional qualification useful but not essential
Strong grounding in management and financial reporting
Confident presenting at board level and influencing senior stakeholders
Able to balance strategic leadership with hands-on operational oversight
Practical, organised and comfortable working in a varied, evolving environment
Strong people leadership skills with a collaborative approach

Salary: £80,000 - £85,000
