Medical Receptionist, Healthcare Administration

GP Care Wakefield is looking to expand its bank of receptionists, offering the opportunity to work across any or all of our six sites:
- Trinity Medical Centre, WF1 1PG
- Northgate Medical Centre, WF8 1NF
- Kings Medical Centre, WF6 2AZ
- Church View Health Centre, WF9 3AP
Flexible Working: We offer a range of 4-6 hour shifts, including weekday evenings, Saturday daytimes, and Sunday mornings. Shifts can be booked up to two months in advance via Lantum, our user-friendly rota system. There is no minimum commitment simply choose the shifts that work best for you.
Main duties of the jobAs a Receptionist, you will play an important role in supporting patients and ensuring the smooth running of our services.
- Duties include:
- Welcoming and arriving patients
- Care navigation and processing referrals from partner organisations
- Registering patients on Systm One
- Reviewing pre-booked appointments to ensure booking criteria are met
- Opening and closing the site
- Chaperoning patient appointments (full training provided)

About usConexus Healthcare is the GP confederation for all practices in theWakefield
District.
GP Care Wakefield offers Enhanced Access to general practice on evenings & weekends for the Wakefield & District population. In addition to same day appointments with GPs and ANPs the service offers routine clinics with a Practice Nurse, HCA or phlebotomy that can be booked in advance by the patients practice.
The reception team are at the forefront of this service, providing administration support when the service is operational.
They are also the first point of call for any clinicians working at that time.
