We have an exciting opportunity for a Sexual Health Clinical Lead to join our Clinical Team at HMP New Hall based in Wakefield.
HMP New Hall is a female adult and young offenders institution offering medium level of security with a population of 344 female.
We are looking for a Clinical Lead who is experienced within female healthcare clinics and will be managing a team of 2.
Hours- Monday - Friday
- 37.改 ay per week
- 8am - 4pm
This position is part time, you’ll receive an annual salary up to £51,643 - £58,012 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

Candidates are required to have a legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.
What you'll be doingAs a Sexual Health Clinical Lead, your responsibilities will vary. You will:
- Deliver evidence-based assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of women’s health interventions.
- Provide support for menstrual health, including management of menstrual disorders, access to products, and education.
- Deliver sexual health screening, assessment, and treatment pathways.
- Offer contraception counselling and access, including long-acting reversible contraception where clinically appropriate.
- Deliver group and one-to-one health education sessions on topics such as sexual health, menstrual wellbeing, contraception, menopause, healthy ageing, and self-care.
- Identify and elevate safeguarding concerns in line with Practice Plus Group and prison policies.

- Registered Nurse – Adult∙ Current professional qualification (NMC)
- Experience in women’s health, sexual health, or primary care.
- Knowledge of menopause care, menstrual health, contraception, and ageing women’s needs.
- Understanding of trauma-informed approaches and ability to apply them in practice.
Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
