Warehouse Operative with Counterbalance FLT

Menzies Distribution Solutions are looking for an experienced Warehouse Operative with a Counterbalance Licence to join our team providing a first‑class service in Wakefield. The main purpose of this role is to provide an accurate receipt of customer goods into the warehouse and timely dispatch of customer goods from the warehouse to external parties. The role requires the completion of various warehouse tasks as safely, accurately and efficiently as possible, upholding the highest standards of health and safety at all times.

For your application to be considered, you must hold a current Counterbalance Forklift Licence.

• Salary: £28,675.92 per annum (OT paid at time and a half)

• Shift Pattern: 4 On/4 Off Days
• Start/Finish Times: 06:30 – 18:30

• Using internal WMS system, laptop and hand scanners
• Taking receipt of pallets from the production lines and accurately scanning them into the warehouse
• Picking orders ready for dispatch
• Stock rotation and consolidation
• Ensuring all tasks are carried out to the highest of standards, working in partnership directly with the customer
• Adhering to Warehouse/Plant H&S rules at all times
• Operating a ‘clean as you go’ policy to keep the warehouse free of excess debris, pests, etc.
• Assisting on the loading bay when required
• Carrying out any other reasonable request made by Supervisor/Manager

• 1+ year operating a counterbalance FLT
• An in‑date, accredited FLT licence (RTITB, ITSARR, AITT, etc.)
• Previous warehouse experience (ideally within the food and/or beverage industry, but not essential)

• Good eye for detail
• Strong communication skills, be a team player

• Good organisational and time‑management skills
