Operations Manager
Bennett and Game are working with a well-established Yorkshire-based housing contractor that is entering an exciting period of growth, having recently secured a £50 million investment to support expansion and long-term delivery. The business has won multiple new sites for the coming year and is targeting the delivery of residential units in 2026 (Apply online only).
As a Groundworks Supervisor you will be responsible for overseeing multiple live housing sites across Yorkshire, ensuring groundworks packages are delivered safely, on programme and to specification. This is a regional role only – no national travel required.
You will act as the key link between site teams, subcontractors and management, with responsibility for coordinating labour, plant and materials across several sites simultaneously.
Salary and Benefits- £45,000 - £55,000 basic salary (DOE)

- Supervise and manage groundworks operations across multiple housing sites
- Coordinate and manage a fleet of owned and hired plant
- Order materials and ensure timely delivery to site
- Oversee subcontractors and direct labour
- Ensure all works are carried out in line with health & safety standards
- Maintain productivity, quality and programme across all sites
- Liaise with Site Managers, Project Managers and senior management
- Carry out site inspections and resolve technical or delivery issues
- Ensure foundations, drainage, roads and external works are delivered correctly
- Proven experience as a Groundworks Supervisor (housing experience essential)
- Strong background in foundations, drainage, roads and external works
- Experience managing multiple sites concurrently
- Organised, proactive and confident managing plant and materials
- Strong understanding of health & safety and groundworks sequencing
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- UK driving licence required
