Position: Fettler (Temporary)
We are seeking a skilled Fettler to join a busy fabrication and production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for finishing and preparing metal components to the highest standards, ensuring all products meet customer specifications and quality requirements. This is a temporary role for a period of 3 months but may be extended depending on business needs.

Monday to Wednesday 07:00 to 17:00, Thursday 07:00 to 16:30, Friday overtime paid at time and a half
Hourly Pay: £14.63

Key Responsibilities
Grinding and fettling fabricated or cast components to remove excess material, sharp edges, and imperfections.
Polishing and finishing surfaces to achieve required standards (satin, mirror, or shot-blast).
Interpreting technical drawings to ensure dimensional accuracy and compliance.
Conducting quality checks on finished parts to identify and resolve defects.
Maintaining health and safety compliance, including correct use of PPE and safe handling of tools.
Collaborating with welders, fabricators, and supervisors to meet production deadlines.

Fettler Experience and Requirements

Experience with hand tools and machinery such as grinders, polishers, and sanders.
Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality finishes.
Technical knowledge of fabrication processes and ability to read engineering drawings.
Physical stamina for manual handling and workshop tasks.
Teamwork and communication skills to work effectively within a production environment.
