We are representing a well-established Main Contractor who is seeking a driven Project Quantity Surveyor – and will also consider applications from ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyors ready to step up – to join their team on a permanent basis.

This role offers the opportunity to work across a variety of general construction and refurbishment projects throughout the West Midlands, delivering high-quality schemes for a range of clients.

The Role

You will be responsible for supporting and managing the commercial and financial aspects of projects from inception through to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

* Preparing and managing cost plans, valuations, and forecasts

* Procuring subcontractors and managing supply chain relationships

* Handling contract administration and project documentation

* Monitoring costs, variations, and budgets

* Supporting senior QS staff (if Assistant level) and working towards greater responsibility

* Building strong working relationships with clients, consultants, and colleagues

Requirements

* Experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Assistant QS within a main contractor environment

* Exposure to general construction and refurbishment projects

* Good commercial awareness and attention to detail

* Ability to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines

* Relevant degree or professional qualification (preferred but not essential)
