Position: Site Manager, (OPS2)
Site Manager, (Ops2 NGED)

Contract, 6 months+

£400 to £450 per day outside IR35

You will be managing subcontractors in the delivery of substation construction project at from £100,000 to £multi million pound schemes,

Understand the Company Health & Safety and Environmental (SHE) Policies and Processes
Manage and direct compliance to CDM regulations on site.
Lead and motivate a team of Sub-Contractors to deliver all aspects of planning and operations
Maintaining accurate records of site resources, materials and plant.
Produce reports in a timely manner
To liaise with customers, clients, local authorities and other interested third parties
To provide sufficient and timely supervision, assessment and coaching to ensure sub-contractors are performing to agreed production levels
To ensure quality checks are complete
To regularly undertake all necessary and appropriate Tool Box Talks, Briefings and other communications
Promote best practice, capture best practice and ensure it is fed-back into the business.
Responsible for overall QA/QC process adherence including Inspections and Test Plans You will be qualified in

NGED OPS2 (Operational Authorisation
2). It is acritical safety certification that enables a Site Manager to implement and manage the Safe Systems of Work (SSoW) on National Grid Electricity Distribution networks
A number of year experience working within HV sector at 33kV or 132kV works.
A varied knowledge of substation equipment from various Original Equipment Manufacturers.
Knowledge of CDM 2015 (and ideally qualified in it).
Competent on Excel or MS Project or Primavera P6
Ability to lead and motivate people
Must have commercial awareness and understand the effect of site based activities on the project financial performance.
Full UK driving licence Required
First Aid (Full 4 day) Required
SMSTS Required Would suit a M&E Site Supervisor, Project Engineer, Project Supervisor, Protection & Control Technician, or a HV Fitter with OPS2 NGED Authorisation wo wants their first Site Manager job.
