Commercial Engineer – Willenhall - Up to £47,000
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Engineer to join a leading precision engineering organisation based in Willenhall. This role is ideal for an experienced professional with a strong background in estimating and commercial support within an engineering environment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in leading customer estimating activities, supporting Cost of Sales (COS) functions, and driving continuous improvement within the engineering department.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead estimating activities for CNC machined parts, ensuring quotations are accurate and delivered on time.
* Prepare detailed cost estimates to support new business acquisition.
* Collaborate closely with the supply chain to source materials to customer specifications.
* Provide commercial support for engineering COS processes, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency.
* Review COS data to implement lessons learned and drive future cost reduction initiatives.
* Support the engineering team in meeting customer demands and maintaining high service standards.
* Develop and maintain process documentation in line with company procedures.
Knowledge & Skills
* Strong understanding of precision engineering processes, tooling, and fixtures.
* Proven track record of delivering cost-saving initiatives.
* Excellent organisational and workload management skills within a small team environment.
* Ability to analyse data, identify improvement opportunities, and implement effective solutions.
