Overall Objective
To ensure all incoming and outgoing orders and deliveries are handled in accordance with Good Distribution Practice (GDP), safeguarding the safety of patients receiving the product. To complete tasks as required by the company and assigned by Management, maintaining high standards of accuracy, quality, and compliance at all times.
Duties and Responsibilities Order Processing and Management:- Process wholesale and WDA orders, ensuring accuracy, quality, and adherence to procedures.
- Book in wholesale and WDA deliveries, ensuring all processes are followed accurately.
- Check batch numbers and expiry dates to ensure they match order documentation prior to dispatch.
- Use internal systems to manage stock movements and order processing where required.
- Liaise with relevant departments to resolve order or delivery-related queries.
- Identify damaged, expired, or defective products and isolate them according to company procedures.
- Report any discrepancies or issues to Management promptly.
- Accurately pick and pack orders, ensuring:
- Details are recorded on the picking list
- Customer instructions are followed
- All outgoing stock is intact and meets quality standards
- Pack pharmacy orders, ensuring packaging requirements and SOPs are followed to maintain product integrity.
- Handle and store temperature-sensitive or controlled products in accordance with company policies (if applicable).
- Perform stock takes and cycle counts as required, ensuring accurate recording of details.
- Complete warehouse and quality-related administrative tasks as required.
- Maintain a clean, organised work area at all times, including participation in scheduled deep cleans.
- Follow all job-specific procedures, SOPs, GDP guidelines, and Health & Safety protocols.
- Assist in investigations and reporting of deviations, errors, or issues as part of the company’s quality processes.
- Carry out ad-hoc duties as requested to meet business needs.
- Work additional hours as required.
- Attend all mandatory and role-specific training.
- Comply with all relevant regulatory requirements, including those from the MHRA and other authorities.
- Support the training and onboarding of new team members by demonstrating correct procedures.
- Uphold professional standards, including punctuality, effective communication, and respectful teamwork.
- Proactively contribute ideas for improving warehouse operations, safety, and compliance.
Manual handling, such as lifting and bending, is an essential requirement of this role. These activities are assessed within the relevant descriptive assessment form. Employees must inform their Departmental Manager of any conditions that may affect their ability to perform manual handling tasks safely.
