Nature Towns & Cities Project is a transformative programme designed to enhance Walsall’s green and blue spaces, promote biodiversity, and integrate nature and health priorities into the heart of our borough’s regeneration.
Role Responsibilities- Lead Project Management:
Oversee the successful delivery of the Nature Towns & Cities project, including developing and implementing a Nature and Health Strategy and Action Plan. - Financial Oversight:
Handle a £1m+ revenue programme, including budget management, grant claims, and procurement. - Compliance and Reporting:
Ensure adherence to Council and funder policies, financial regulations, and produce detailed reports for stakeholders.
Ideal candidates will have a strong background in project management (preferably in the green space or conservation sector), experience with large-scale, multi-agency partnerships, budget management skills, and the ability to influence at all levels. A relevant degree or equivalent experience and a recognised project management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2), or equivalent experience, are essential.
