Mobile Plant Fitter – Coventry Area
Salary up to £40,000 per annum (DOE) + overtime, van provided. Full‑time permanent, 40 hours per week (typically 7:30–16:30).
Responsibilities:
- Field based covering the Midlands.
- Service, repair and maintenance of plant equipment.
- Call‑out rota 1 in 5 weeks.
- OTE £45,000 with overtime.
Qualifications:
- Mechanical background.
- Knowledge of engines, pumps, motors or similar.
- Vehicle mechanics, REME, plant or similar backgrounds ideal.

Mobile Plant Fitter – Birmingham / MidlandsSalary £35,000–£37,000 plus van, overtime, holiday and pension. “Good field‑based” role requiring travel across Midlands.
Responsibilities:
- Travel to customer sites around the Midlands.
- Service and preventative maintenance on a range of plant equipment.
- Diagnostics and repairs as required.
- Monday‑Friday days; on call 1 in 5 weeks.
Qualifications:
- Mechanical background – engines, pumps, motors.
- Vehicle mechanics, REME, plant, or similar backgrounds.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Willingness to travel locally.
Long‑term permanent role (13 weeks trial). Hours 07:30 or 08:00 to 16:00/16:30, pay £14–£17.50 per hour.
Key Duties:
- Preventative maintenance activities.
- Reactive maintenance and repair of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Team maintenance work.
- General fitting of mechanical parts.
- Other duties as reasonably required.
Requirements:
- Experience in a similar position.
- Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Availability for long‑term work.
Assembly & Test team within the Thermal Value Stream. Core responsibilities include precision assembly, testing and inspection of aerospace components.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble aerospace components following detailed instructions.
- Use manual and powered tools to dress and prepare components.
- Carry out Product Acceptance Testing (PAT).
- Use inspection equipment (verniers, micrometers, CMM, shadow graph) to verify conformity.
- Maintain safety, quality and 5S standards.
- Support process improvements and team activities.
Required Skills:
- Mechanical or engineering assembly experience.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and PAT requirements.
- Skilled with inspection and measurement tools.
- Basic computer skills (SAP, Excel, Word).
- Minimal supervision and ability to follow instructions.
Contract, full‑time. Pay £12.21 per hour.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in assembly, installation and maintenance of mechanical components.
- Learn to read technical drawings and specifications.
- Support fitting and alignment of parts using appropriate tools.
- Help with routine inspections and testing.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Participate in training and on‑the‑job learning.
Candidate Profile:
- Interest in mechanical engineering and hands‑on work.
- Basic understanding of mechanical principles (advantageous).
- Teamwork and ability to follow instructions.
- Attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
Qualifications &

- Relevant qualification or working towards one desirable.
