CNC Setter​/Operator

Position: CNC Setter / Operator
Location: Willenhall

Our client is seeking for an experienced CNC Setter / Operator (5-Axis) to join their expanding team in a permanent position located in Willenhall. This role is suited to a skilled machinist who can confidently set and operate advanced CNC machinery, ensuring components are produced to the highest quality and precision standards.

You will be working within a specialist manufacturing environment, supporting the production of complex parts for high-value applications.

Key Responsibilities:

Set and operate 5-axis CNC machines, with a strong focus on accuracy, efficiency, and repeatability.
Work from engineering drawings, CAD data, and technical specifications to produce components to tight tolerances.
Carry out machine set-ups, tool changes, offsets, and first-off inspections.
Monitor machining processes and make adjustments to maintain quality and productivity.
Identify and resolve machining issues, working closely with programmers and engineering teams where required.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment in line with health & safety procedures.
Perform basic machine maintenance and contribute to continuous improvement of processes.
Essential Skills and Experience

Required:

Proven experience setting and operating Matsuura 5-axis CNC machines.
Strong background as a CNC Setter / Operator within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
High attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Comfortable working independently and as part of a small, skilled team.
A proactive, reliable, and safety-conscious approach to work.
Additional Information:

Working hours:

37-hour basic working week. Monday – Thursday, 07:30 – 16:00, Friday, 07:30 – 12:30.
Overtime:
Available at time and a third in the week and time and a half for a Saturday morning.
