Booking In Operative (Pharmacy / Warehouse Experience Required)

Pay: £12.21 per hour
We are looking for a reliable, organised, and detail-focused Booking In Operative to join our client’s warehouse team in Aldridge. This role requires previous experience working in a pharmacy, dispensary, pharmaceutical warehouse, or a similar environment, along with strong stock control skills. You will play a key role in ensuring all incoming and outgoing products are handled safely, accurately, and in accordance with company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Order Processing & Management
* Book in wholesale and WDA deliveries accurately
* Process wholesale, pharmacy, and WDA orders
* Check batch numbers and expiry dates against delivery and order documentation
* Use internal systems to update stock levels, process orders, and record stock movements
* Liaise with internal teams to resolve delivery or order-related queries
Stock & Quality Control
* Identify damaged, expired, or defective products and isolate appropriately
* Report discrepancies or stock issues to Management promptly
* Accurately pick and pack orders, ensuring all required details are recorded
* Pack pharmacy orders in line with company procedures to maintain product integrity
* Handle temperature-sensitive or controlled products where applicable
* Perform stock takes, cycle counts, and other inventory checks
* Complete warehouse and quality-related admin tasks as needed
Health, Safety & Compliance
* Maintain a clean, tidy, and organised work environment, including participating in scheduled deep cleans
* Follow all job-specific procedures, company policies, and Health & Safety guidelines
* Assist in investigations relating to errors, deviations, or quality concerns
* Adhere to relevant regulatory requirements, including those from the MHRA
Other Duties
* Support with training and onboarding of new staff by demonstrating correct procedures
* Perform additional duties as required to meet business needs
* Attend all required training sessions
* Maintain professionalism, good communication, and a positive team attitude
* Contribute suggestions for improving warehouse operations and safety
Person Specification
* Essential:
Experience in a pharmacy, dispensary, or pharmaceutical warehouse
* Strong background in order processing, booking-in, and stock control
* Confident using computer systems and internal stock software
* Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
* Physically able to undertake manual handling tasks (lifting, bending, moving stock)
