Financial Accountant

I am currently partnering with a well-established manufacturing business based in Wantage that are seeking an experienced Interim Management / Financial Accountant to join their commercial finance team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong accounting background who thrives in a hands‑on, fast‑paced environment.

• Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations
• Manage month‑end close processes, including reporting and analysis, budgets and forecasts
• Support the wider finance function with ad hoc tasks and financial insight
• Ensure accuracy and compliance in all accounting activities
• Liaise with both UK and US‑based customers

• Proven experience in accounting and month‑end reporting
• Strong technical ability with balance sheet reconciliations
• Previous experience within a manufacturing or similar environment preferred
• Exposure to SOX compliance desirable but not essential
• Ability to work independently and deliver results under tight deadlines

This is an excellent opportunity for a capable and reliable accountant who is available to start immediately, able commit to an ongoing interim role and happy to be office based 5 days a week.
