Nestled in the heart of our forest, Center Parcs Longleat Forest (BA12 7PU
) offers the Subtropical Swimming Paradise – a 29.5 °C heated pool area open daily from 9 am to 8 pm. The area includes a toddler pool, wave pool, whirlpool, flumes, wild water rapids, and activities such as snorkeling, scuba diving and aqua jets.

A Lifeguard is the main point of contact for guests in the Subtropical Swimming Paradise, welcoming them in a positive, friendly manner while ensuring compliance with health and safety. As the face of Center Parcs, you will make a lasting impression on guests through professionalism and guest‑care skills.

• Serve as the primary contact for guests, demonstrating welcoming friendliness.
• Display vigilance to ensure guests’ safety and meet required health and safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness standards within the Subtropical Swimming Paradise.
• Ensure all company and legal requirements are met at all times.
• Provide personal attention and care to guests, representing the brand positively.

Trainee candidates must attend an NPLQ course – a full‑time, five‑day training programme covering lifeguard responsibilities, observation of pool guests, rescue techniques, first aid and CPR.

To become a lifeguard, a strong swimmer is required. Successful interviewees will complete a swim test, which includes diving into deep water, timed and continuous swimming on both front and back, and exiting the pool without using a ladder or step.

Successful applicants will undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service Check (formerly CRB) and other selection information must satisfy the Company before employment commences.

We offer varied part‑time and full‑time contracts on a flexible basis. Shifts fall between 7:30 am and 9 pm and may include weekend, public/bank holidays, and rota work during Christmas and New Year. All contract hours are guaranteed per period.

Applicants must be able to reliably commute to Center Parcs Longleat Forest; the location is not easily accessible by public transport.

• Ability to communicate with people from all walks of life.

• RLSS Pool Lifeguard / NARS Qualification – for qualified lifeguards.
• Friendly, genuine, and warm towards guests and colleagues.

• First Aid Certificate.
• Experience in Pool Plant Operation.
