The Company:

We are working with a Regional Building Contractor who have grown consistently over the last few years and are capable of taking on construction projects valued up to £15 Million for a varied client base which are exclusively based in the North West of England.

They are privately owned, profitable and are active in several market sectors including; education, healthcare, extra care, residential, commercial and industrial.

This is a really good opportunity to join a long established business who are extremely financially stable.

They secure work through several key regional procurement frameworks and good relationships with private sector clients and consultants.

The Role:

They want to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to take on 2-3 projects valued up to £3 million pounds based in Cheshire and Merseyside based from their office.

Working for this growing building contractor you will be valued as a key member of the team.

Working with the support of a Commercial Manager your responsibilities can include the following;

Undertake all commercial and contractual requirements on the designated projects in accordance with the company procedures and processes – highlighting potential contractual issues.

Ensuring sound financial performance including profitability, cash flow, and managing risks and opportunities.

Preparation of accurate and detailed cost reports for review with the Commercial Manager.

Preparing and agreeing Monthly Valuations, including valuing variations and forecasting final account.

Appointment of Subcontractors in accordance with Company Procedures, including procurement and account management including valuations, payment notices and agreement of final accounts.

To work closely with Contracts Management to ensure all required site records and correspondence are completed in accordance with the specific Contract requirements and Company Procedures.

Maintain close working relationship with the client and their representatives to assist in the success of the project.

Liaise with Contracts Management to review and monitor project costs whilst achieving high standards of quality and health and safety.

You:

They would like to recruit a Quantity Surveyor who has experience of working for a Regional Building contractor in a similar role. They would also be keen to hear from Senior QSs who are happy to take on a number of schemes similar to those described above.

You will need to be able to commute to their offices so will likely live in Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Cheshire or Merseyside.
