Water Hygiene Engineer / Legionella Risk Assessor

£28,000 – £32,000 per year (Base Salary) - OTE £35,000 - £42,000 (Bonus and Travel etc)

Overview
We are working with a well-established organisation within the compliance and water hygiene sector, currently seeking an experienced Water Hygiene Engineer or Legionella Risk Assessor to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional looking to develop their career within a supportive and reputable company.

Role Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a full range of water hygiene and Legionella control services, including but not limited to:

* Temperature monitoring and routine water hygiene checks

* Water sampling

* TMV servicing and fail-safe checks

* Shower head descaling and disinfection

* Cold water storage tank inspections and condition reporting

* Calorifier inspections and blowdowns

* Disinfection of hot and cold-water systems

* Conducting Legionella risk assessments (experience or training dependent)

* Producing accurate site reports and compliance documentation

* Identifying non-conformances and advising clients on corrective actions

* Carrying out plumbing-based remedial works where competent

* Liaising directly with clients and representing the company professionally onsite

Key Requirements:

* A minimum of 1 year’s experience within water hygiene or Legionella control

* Understanding of ACOP L8, HSG 274 and relevant guidance (training provided if required)

* Strong communication and customer-facing skills

* Ability to manage workload, travel to multiple sites and work independently

* Full UK driving licence

* Good IT skills, including experience with digital reporting and mobile apps

* Strong attention to detail and a safe, methodical approach to work

* Willingness to travel and be flexible with working hours
