Senior Bid Writer – Energy Infrastructure Division

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team, supporting bids for some of the country’s largest network operators and private sector clients. As part of the Energy Infrastructure division, you will play a key role in developing high‑impact tender submissions that help power communities, keep homes warm, and advance sustainable energy generation.

United Infrastructure is also committed to strengthening the UK’s water systems through clean and wastewater infrastructure upgrades. In this role, you will craft complex, technically accurate, and persuasive submissions that influence how clean water reaches homes and businesses, help reduce flood risk, and support ecosystem protection.

• Develop, coordinate, and deliver compelling bid documents for large infrastructure projects.
• Translate complex technical information into clear, client‑focused value propositions and win themes.
• Collaborate with engineering, construction, and stakeholder teams to ensure bid accuracy and relevance.
• Maintain a high standard of writing, storytelling, and benefits‑led communication throughout the bid lifecycle.
• Embrace the clean energy transition and contribute ideas that support the future of the UK’s energy and water networks.

• Have experience writing and coordinating bids within construction, engineering, utilities, or wider infrastructure projects.
• Possess exceptional writing, structuring, and storytelling ability, with a strong grasp of client‑focused, benefits‑led communication.
• Have contributed to or led the written element of high‑value or technically complex tenders.
• Bring strategic thinking and can translate technical information into clear, compelling value propositions and win themes.
• Are passionate about supporting the future of the UK’s energy and water networks through high‑quality, insight‑driven bid submissions.

• Degree in a relevant subject (e.g., English, marketing, engineering, construction) or equivalent experience.
• Strong experience in bid writing within infrastructure, utilities, or engineering services.
• Professional certification or formal bid writing/management training (e.g., APMP Practitioner or higher) is highly desirable.
• Excellent writing, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
