Warehouse Team Leader

Location: Appleton Thorn, Warrington
Salary: £33,046 per year + overtime at 1.5x
Hours: 40.35 hrs per week
Shifts: Rotating Days & Nights (6am 6pm / 6pm 6am) 4 ON 4 OFF

We are a large, long-established UK retailer with multiple distribution centres nationwide. The Appleton Thorn site serves the North, North West, and North Wales, supplying frozen, chilled and ambient food products as well as household essentials.

The business is known for promoting from within many senior staff started out on the warehouse floor and offers strong training and development for people who want to progress.

We re now looking for an organised and motivated Warehouse Chargehand / Team Leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to develop their skills and career.

• Overseeing day-to-day warehouse operations to maintain efficiency, organisation and cleanliness

• Working alongside the Warehouse Supervisor to run the shift

• Being the first point of contact for all warehouse-related queries

• Delegating tasks to supervisors and operatives

• Planning and adjusting staffing levels to meet daily operational needs

• Monitoring operational reports to ensure performance and quality targets are met

• Delivering performance reviews and managing development or succession plans

• Coaching and training team members to ensure multi-skilling and capability growth

• Addressing performance issues and identifying training requirements

• Warehouse experience either leadership or ready for your next step up

• Strong communication, leadership and coaching ability

• Someone who thrives under pressure and stays organised in a busy environment
