As an Arboricultural Consultant you will join our 50‑plus strong ecology team, responsible for ecological and arboricultural surveys and assessments. Your work will support master‑planning, mitigation and enhancement design, ecosystem service and natural capital assessment across diverse, high‑profile locations.

• Conduct surveys and produce associated reports to drive our core passion: improving quality of life in a sustainable way.
• Undertake BS 5837 2012 Arboricultural surveys and produce Arboricultural Impact Assessments (AIAs) and Arboricultural Method Statements (AMSs).
• Perform climbed surveys to inspect potential bat roosting features.
• Provide general advice on arboricultural issues.
• Complete arb projects and provide Arboricultural advice to clients.

• Suitable qualification (e.g. FdSc Arb, BSc or Technician’s Certificate in Arboriculture or higher) and membership of the Arboricultural Association or the Institute of Chartered Foresters.
• Arboricultural knowledge including BS 5837 2012 Tree Quality Surveys and preparation of AIAs / AMSs.
• Previous experience of undertaking tree condition surveys, BS 5837 surveys and reporting, with a proven track record in writing tree reports suitable for planning applications.
• Understanding of health and safety related issues regarding site survey and supervision.
• Desired: LANTRA Professional Tree Inspector Certificate, CS38, experience with database asset management software and tablet data collection, experience assessing trees for potential roosting bats.
