Temporary Accommodation Officer

We are looking for a well‑organised, passionate and committed individual to join our Temporary Accommodation Team at Warwick District Council.

This is a key role within the Temporary Accommodation Team with responsibility for the financial responsibilities of delivering an effective and efficient service.

Responsibilities:

• You will arrange the prompt placement of clients into suitable temporary accommodation, which can include our own stock and Bed & Breakfast establishments as well as manage the movement between placements.
• You will set up rent accounts, monitor payments, liaise with Housing Benefits and take appropriate action when rent accounts fall into arrears.
• You will verify invoices from our temporary accommodation providers monthly and arrange prompt payment via our Finance department.
• You will also liaise with our Assets Team to co‑ordinate the prompt return of temporary accommodation units as they become vacant.
• You must have at least two years’ experience of delivering customer‑focused services and have experience of keeping accurate records.
• If you have a “can do” attitude, with excellent attention to detail as well as the ability to manage a varied workload you could be what we are looking for.

Offices within Warwick District – Not suitable for home or hybrid working.
