HERS Coordinator – Colas Ltd
Colas Ltd is a UK subsidiary of the global Colas Group, specialising in highways construction and maintenance. The HERS Coordinator will support our Area 9 Maintenance & Response contract team, ensuring compliance with the Highways Electrical Registration Scheme (HERS) for both Technology and Electrical teams.
Purpose of the roleTo maintain and manage the HERS database, coordinate training and assessments, support compliance across teams, prepare reports, manage administrative tasks, and identify improvements in maintenance delivery. The role requires a proactive, organised individual committed to quality, compliance, and environmental responsibility.
Main Responsibilities- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records in the HERS database.
- Coordinate with Learning & Development to arrange relevant training courses and ensure periodic reviews and assessments meet HERS requirements.
- Work closely with HERS Qualified Supervisors to support ongoing compliance across Technology and Electrical teams.
- Prepare reports and documentation as required and manage administrative tasks.
- Uphold health and safety standards and promote environmental stewardship.
- Identify and share potential innovations and improvements in maintenance delivery with management.
- Previous experience in a similar coordinator or administrative role.
- Knowledge of national highways motorways, trunk road communications, and electrical systems is advantageous.
- Self‑motivated, well organised, with strong attention to detail.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word). A full UK driving licence is required.
- Willingness to learn and keep up to date with changes in highways technology and electrical standards.
We offer a competitive total compensation package:
- A salary between £24,000 and £27,000
- Colas Pension Scheme with combined contributions of up to 10%
