We are seeking a DESIGN ENGINEER

We are a busy manufacturing, well established facility in the Redditch area, we are thriving, making us a very stable and lively place to work!

Supplying into aerospace, defence and marine industry sectors, our product range is huge and varied. This is a hands-on role focused on developing new products, improving existing designs, and working closely with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.

Commutable from Solihull, Redditch, Birmingham, Bromsgrove, Stratford-Upon-Avon, Alcester, Bidford-on-Avon, Worcester, Pershore, Alvechurch, Henley-in-Arden, Shirely and Halesowen

Duties

* Design and develop new product concepts through to final production designs

* Modify and improve existing products as directed by the Engineering Manager

* Liaise with customers and suppliers to support product development

* Provide initial design concepts to support the Sales team

* Work closely with Production to ensure efficient assembly and manufacture

* Contribute to cost-reduction initiatives and engineering improvement projects

What We’re Looking For

* Experience using 2D and 3D CAD software (Solid Works preferred)

* Basic understanding of GD&T

* Ability to carry out tolerance stack calculations

* To have some exposure of working within a manufacturing environment

* Ability to work to deadlines and manage time effectively
