Project Manager, Program ​/ Project Manager, Operations Manager

Position: Project Manager (Permanent)
Our client, a leading UK-based organisation at the forefront of battery innovation, is currently seeking a skilled and hands-on Project Manager to join their team. Operating in a fast-paced, high-tech environment, the successful candidate will deliver complex projects that push the boundaries of research and development, with a strong focus on timely, high-quality outcomes.

The Project Manager will:

Lead and manage complex multi-year R&D projects, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.
Engage with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders, providing clear communication and steering projects at all levels.
Plan, monitor, and report on project progress, including risk management and mitigation.
Create detailed project schedules, allocate resources, and manage internal teams, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Support pre-contract planning with high-level work breakdowns and alignment of project milestones.
Monitor budgets, forecast needs, and support senior-level reporting and presentations.
The Project Manager will have:

Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a technical discipline; experience in battery or related engineering fields preferred.
Proven track record delivering complex technical projects with multiple stakeholders.
Strong project management skills with proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office.
Excellent problem-solving, organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple project teams and stakeholders effectively.
Engineering and Project Management qualifications expected; APM qualification preferred.
